Stop Street Spam

While not entirely spam in the sense that we normally cover here, Causs.org (Citizens Against Ugly Street Spam) is a resource I just ran across that actually looks quite good (at least for those in the States).
From their front page:

The purpose of CAUSS is to eliminate unsightly and illegal street signs. These signs are also known as street spam, bandit and snipe signs, vertical litter, illegal signs and utility pole advertising. Examples include Work at Home, Work from Home, I Lost 40 Pounds, Have a PC, We Buy Houses, Rent to Own, Lease Purchase, Quality Affordable Health Insurance, Avoid Forclosure, and Sell Your House in 9 Days.

It turns out a huge number of those signs are related to HerbaLife, which along with Quixtar are two MLM (multi-level marketing) schemes that I had never really heard of (or didn't know were part of MLM efforts). There is a health food/vitamin store here that sells HerbaLife and also has ads on TV and it now occurs to me that they are part of some MLM deal.

Depending on how bad the street spam is in your area, this site might be worth investigating to learn more about how you can use your local laws/codes to reduce the eyesore.
