Want to buy some zombied PC access?

$3000 for 20,000 zombied machines. That is what a recent post on Slashdot tells us is a shot at the going rate for such things.

While probably nobody can say this of all Slashdot threads, the discussion that follows in the comments is actually fairly interesting/humorous.

As for the spam side of it, my question is not how much spam could be sent from those machines, but how many people do they sell that $3K offer? Are the machines used exclusively by one person? Are they time shared?
I don't suppose it matters since when you get to that sort of dealing, you can't exactly complain to people about fair shares of your sale.
