Off of the Mobile-Weblog - "The Economist Bluejacks".
For those of you not familiar with "bluejacking" it is essentially looking for mobile devices nearby that have Bluetooth enabled and then sending a message to it.
Which means that the Economist is looking for enabled devices near them, and sending out ads to them. While that practice is not terribly new, it seems a bit sleazy for something like the relatively respectable publication that most think of with the Economist.
That said, this is (so far) only in Asia and not terribly recent news.
