How to not get on the good side of voters

Barbara Bush is sending out 1 million e-mails to "potential donors" to the Bush reelection campaign.

"With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, I've been thinking about how proud I am of our children," Mrs. Bush wrote.

"And it's with a mother's pride that I'm writing you today to ask you to support our eldest, George W., and his re-election campaign with a donation of $1,000, $500, $250, $100 or $50."

It doesn't clarify what a "potential donor" is - did they sign up for this list? Are they registered Republicans? People that have donated in the past?
Technically, a "potential donor" is anyone that has more than $50 from the looks of that e-mail.

Just a little tip for those trying to raise money - spamming people is not a way to get on their good side.
